The second weekend of October brings two events to Hershey's Mill. On Saturday, the parking lot at East Goshen Township Park fills before 10 a.m. for the annual Pumpkin Festival. Friends of East Goshen, the township's parks nonprofit, has set the 2026 Pumpkin Festival for Saturday, October 10, starting at 10 a.m. at East Goshen Township Park. The next morning, attention shifts from the township park to the Mill. Hershey's Mill holds an Open Community Day each spring and fall, and the fall date for 2026 is Sunday, October 11, from 1 to 4 p.m. There's no registration and no advance notice required. Visitors are greeted at the Community Center by resident volunteers, handed a map of the community with the amenities marked, and pointed toward whichever village or house happens to be open for touring that day.
